What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese alternative technique in which a practitioner places both hands on or above a person to help release blocked energy thereby increasing the energy flow. This, in turn, helps to reduce stress, anxiety, pain or other mental, physical or emotional issues.
What is Distance Healing?
Reiki can be given from afar by a Reiki II (or more advanced) Practitioner. Therefore, if you can't go to your practitioner, your practitioner can "send" Reiki energy to you. Contact me for further information by going to the "contact Lynne" page.
Do you use Reiki instead of a standard medical practice?
Reiki can be used as a stand-alone practice or as a supplement to standard medical practice, but always check with your physician if you have concerns about an ailment.
Can you talk during a session?
Some conversation is fine if it relaxes you but the best sessions are those in which the client is lying still, simply listening to the soothing music and feeling the Reiki energy. Many clients fall asleep and, of course, this is Super relaxing for the client.
Why should I drink water after a session?
When the energy flow is unblocked in a session, drinking water helps to remove the toxins from the body that have been released.
